Open Letter to Barack Obama

Dear Mr. President:

I wish to express my dismay about your recent stem cell actions. I believe you have been misinformed and do not know how many American lives you will be condemning to suffering and too-early death with this edict.

 

Too many powerful interests have only profits in mind, not patients. Repair (adult) Stem Cells (RSC) scare the heck out of them, because they work – they really work on over 100 diseases today and threaten the “business of medicine”. These same interests love embryonic stem cells because ten years of science have proven absolutely that they will never be able to be safely implanted into human bodies to help with disease, thus preserving the profits of these self-serving powerful profiteers who have controlled the White House, both houses of congress, and the FDA for decades.

 

Embryonic stem cells cannot cure a hangnail, let alone one disease, and never will. To cover up this failure, the profiteers claim that your predecessor has caused the USA to fall behind in research--one of their many lies. Hundreds and hundreds of embryonic researchers, working in countries with no limits, have also failed miserably to come up with something safe and effective. Imagine how incompetent those researchers are – no success and no George Bush to blame!

 

Not content with using their influence on Congress and the FDA to hold back

RSC therapies, they have kept Americans who can be helped NOW in the backwaters. Look at the profiteer’s multi-multi-million dollar campaign to denigrate the world's top researchers and doctors who actually care about patients rather than obscene profits. Calling them "snake-oil salesmen" so that those few Americans who wish to think and choose for themselves will stay at home with their so-called "untreatable" diseases while standard medicine feeds them pills – profitable pills since Americans pay far more for prescription drugs than anyone.

Compare those 100+ diseases to zero for embryonics, while so-called scientists claim that RSC, the only safe and effective stem cells, are “snake oil.”

and their honoraria; then try to find ONE of your bought-and-paid-for embryonic pitchmen to match them in (a) qualifications and (b) human beings helped with stem cells.
